South Pacific Views

Across what we’ve designated parkland on our northern boundary, we see the Byron Bay lighthouse and the South Pacific ocean. The tourist town of Byron Bay, with a population of about 4,000, is well-known internationally for some of the best surf on Australia’s east coast, as well as being the site of Australia’s most powerful lighthouse at the country’s eastern-most tip. Tourists are attracted by the incredible range of leisure activities, from beach sports to hang-gliding, bushwalking and diving. The entire Byron Shire has a population of about 30,000. Average summer temperature is 27° C (84° F); average winter temperature is 22° C (74° F)
